Photograph caption dated October 5, 1957 reads, "Burbank Police Officer Dick Kunkle, right, checks skill of Frank Mattews, 8, in making proper left turn on simulated street at Horace Mann School. Watching bicycle safety demonstration are Officer Don Sanders and Barbara Merrill, also student at school. Burbank police are teaching bike safety to third grade pupils in all Burbank schools during the next few months." The Horace Mann Center is located at 3401 Scott Road in Burbank.
