Description
A panoramic view of the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, with some kind of pre-game activities (possibly a band, or military group?) going on on the field. The horseshoe shaped stadium is mostly empty, with a crowd of people on the lower benches on the near side, and a block of people in white on the far side. There are three rows of uniformed people standing at about the middle of the field, and two groups of military men in the near left corner. A line of automobiles is parked in the far left corner of the stadium. There is a podium hung with bunting on the right side of the field, with a tall empty flagpole even farther to the right. Very faint vertical writing in white in the upper left corner reads "228A".
