Description
Fernando Gomez wipes a tear from his cheek as he visited the Vietnam Vets memorial on tour at Belvedere Park, in East Los Angeles. He found the name of a war buddy, his best friend, who was killed in 1968. Gomez served with the 1st Cavalry in 1967 and 1968. His son Fernando Jr., age 7, looks on with concern. Photo dated: November 11, 1988.
