Description
Born in 1915 at Long Beach, Ca. Parents, Frank and Lois Smith. Uncle, George Smith ad ranch at end of School Street Schooled in Big Pine at age of 9. Sisters: Eleanor and Dorothy. Moved to Long Beach 1927. Road to Los Angeles was dirt. Abdreen had a piece of cement road. Father Skeet Smith had a Service Station and Garage. Story of ground breaking away, Big Pine Canyon Ranches sold to DWP. Town people hot over City purchases. Comstock blown up at Power House. George Warren. Most people felt they were forced to sell Uncle George had a dairy. Howdy Smith. Family daily life, electricity, water and heating. Cutting wood. Carlon Harrah, niece, Connie Hilderbrand.
