Photograph caption dated March 25, 1960 reads, "Dr. Wesley A. Young, supervisor of Griffith Park Zoo, center, holds cereopsis goose while Roy Shibuya, left, student at Chouinard Art Institute, shows painting of goose he drew for a visual labeling system, first installation of which was placed at the flight cage housing water fowl. Shibuya's painting was the last of 23 paintings. Looking on is Chouinard Art Institute instructor Bernard Garbutt, whose live animal drawing class prepared the paintings for the zoo as a class project. Dr. Young hopes to install the visual system through the entire zoo."
