Photograph caption dated September 15, 1958 reads, "Dr. William Jay Settle, 39, left, principal of new school, checks boundaries with student Tom Kanavos. Monroe will draw students from Patrick Henry, Fulton and Northridge junior highs. Others will transfer from Van Nuys, Birmingham, San Fernando and Reseda senior highs."
