Description
Corte Madera Avenue at the end of Lovell Avenue. Building on left is on the corner of Gardner Avenue. To right of the garage and house (since torn down) is the exit from the City Hall parking lot. The Mt. Tamalpais and Muir Woods railroad tracks are in foreground crossing Lovell Ave. Old Anker's house, built by sea captain George Ankers and wife Charlotte Kratzenstein, is second from corner. The property was given to the Ankers by Charlotte's father, Charles Kratzenstein. The Ankers' son, Frank Anker, worked for Bank of America. Charlotte's sister Emma Kratzenstein married Charles James Dowd. There are two copies of this photograpy, v1 and v2.
