Photograph of Main Street in Huntington Beach, looking toward the ocean, California, 1915. Two men in hats walk down the sidewalk to the left next to the building of a department store whose sign reads "[...]yer & Sundbye's Department Store / Clothing, Hats, Shoes & Furnishings / Dressgoods, Shirtwaists and Millinery / [...] Lines in the City / [...] to Trade with Us.". Two dogs pass each other in the center of the unpaved street, while a horse-drawn carriage plods toward them. Weeds line the sidewalk on both sides. Shops are also visible on the other side of the street. Legible signs include: "Huntington Beach Ne[...]" and "Hardware & Stoves".
