Description
"Einfahrt in die Werf von Elim." ("Gateway into the mission premises of Elim."). On the right the picture shows a path leading to a wooden fence. Behind the fence bushes. Another path leads from the middle to the left. On the left a big tree. On the right a couple of trees and part of a two-storied building with a porch. A third path leading to it. Hills in the background. Imprinted on the image: "1713."
Cf. photo no. 1693 and no. 1724. -- Photo no. 1693 and 1724 show the premises and the building from a different perspective. -- The word "Werf" is a term taken from Afrikaans.
