V1p273a In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 273 top. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written under photo: "Looking east on Market Street 1907." View actually looks northeast towards the corner of Market, Geary, and Kearny. Mutual Savings, Chronicle, Crocker and Union Trust buildings can be seen on the left side of Market. The Gallery of Scientific Wonders is visible at the extreme right. Many new buildings have been put up in the year since the fire. Crowds of men wearing suits and hats throng the sidewalks. Carriages and carts are parked by the curb or heading down the street. Two comparatively rough looking men are talking in the middle of the street by the car tracks.
