"Frauen am Mahlstein. (Musangano)" ("Women at the grindstone. (Musangano)") Two women are kneeling in front of a grindstone, grinding grain. The grindstone is situated under the porch of a hut. They are wearing traditional clothes. Ernst Hermann Schnabel (1904-1953) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in East Africa until the end of the 1930s. In 1934, he married Käthe Prellwitz in Kyimbila.
