Description
A wounded soldier is carried across a dock toward the U.S.S Haven, a U.S. Navy hospital ship, where he will be loaded by means of a hook and cable attached to his stretcher. This is part of a series of photographs in which Williams documents the transfer of wounded soldiers from land to the hospital ship.
