Exterior view of Quinn’s Rialto Theatre, shortly before its May 21, 1917, opening with “The Garden of Allah.” The Alfred L. Holt picture framing business occupies one of the storefronts. Originally designed by architect Oliver P. Dennis, the exterior of the theatre was redesigned 1919 by William Lee Woollett when it briefly became known as Grauman’s Rialto. Operating for decades as just the Rialto, the theatre was shuttered in 1987 and converted into an Urban Outfitters retail location in 2013.
