Description
"This portable mill is grinding alfalfa hay into meal. The hay is being pulled from a stack. (This meal-making machine may have been peculiar to Fred Jones in Natomas. Betty (Jones) Novak suggests her father may have been only trying it out.)" This scene "is particularly interesting because two tractors are powering belts into the alfalfa mill being fed by a haystack, and I don't understand why two belts." Many men and workers gathered around.
