Description
Interior and exterior views of Arthur Lake's home, his wife Patricia Lake (Van Cleve). Mott no. 1614 refers to Tom Fizdale Inc., North Hollywood, publicity and public relations firm.
1992-4604 (1614-19). Mr. and Mrs. Lake walking out front door. Entrance features two tall columns, brick pathway, and lantern style porch light -- 1992-4605 (1614-20). Corner window contains glass ware and nicknacks on window sills. Mr. Lake hands drink to woman at counter. Bar and stools decorated in simple leather pattern.
Santa Monica home of William Alfred Pickering, head of Pickering Lumber Co. Born in 1870 in Buffalo, Missouri, lumber business in Kansas City. Santa Monica house was built in 1928. Died in 1930. Santa Monica house later bought by Arthur Lake.
