Description
Shows the destruction of the Fremont Hotel, 204 West Santa Clara Street., San Jose, California. There is a crane reaching up to the roof. Most of the structure of the building is intact. The left portion of the building's facade is cut out of the picture. The lot to the right of the hotel is filled with rubble;on the other sife of that is a building with the sign, "Workingman's Store" (218 West Santa Clara Street, San Jose, California) . In the left foreground of the picture is a post. Information taken from the 1966 San Jose City Directory. Part of the Park Center Redevelopment Project.
