In the foreground at lower left is Eagle Peak, upon which sits a man in long-sleeved white shirt, pants and hat; behind him is scrub brush; to the right in front of Eagle Peak is another forested peak which descends to the valley floor; the valley floor is covered with forests of trees; in the middle distance a large mountain rises which appears to support Half Dome at the extreme left of the photo; in the background is Nevada Falls and further in the background are the snow-covered mountains with the Cap of Liberty to the right of center.
