Description
Photograph caption dated May 23, 1957 reads "P. L. Flynn, principal animal inspector for Los Angeles, holds one of gamecocks picked up for evidence at 15934 Arminta St., Van Nuys. Bird fancier Edgar L. Nightingale was arrested on misdemeanor charge of possession of gamecocks." The article partially reads "A 78-year-old Van Nuys bird fancier is scheduled to be arraigned today in Van Nuys Municipal Court for possession of fighting gamecocks."
