Photograph of flood damage to an unidentified sluice in Los Angeles, 1938. In the left foreground, a man is shown kneeling in the mud deposits of the flood damage, while behind him, a concrete sluice has been broken into pieces. To either side of the sluice, eroded banks of soil can be seen. Trees are visible in the background. Photoprint reads: "Thompson Photo Service. 1917 12th Street.
