Description
Negative shows a woman who is a 1986 y-Walk participant standing with her hands on her hips and her feet slightly apart. She may be leading others in exercises. There are a few other people who are partially visible in the picture some of whom also have their hands on their hips. Some of them are wearing tee shirts that read: "Walk for women. YWCA 1986." On envelope: "1986 Y-Walk." "Executive Director Faith Rein (the top job had been renamed again) and President Sarah Janigian launched two annual events that heaped public attention on the association: the Y-Walk downtown in 1984, in which volunteers enlisted sponsors to raise money for YWCA programs; and TWIN, Tribute to Women and Industry, in 1985."
