Description
Capt. Frank Ruhstaller kept a close watch over his brewery from his palatial Queen Anne home at 1220 H St. Set on a lot of 12,800 square feet, the 21-room home was sold for $20,000 just a few years after Ruhstaller’s death in 1907. In the coming decades it would be home to the Hermitage Club, then broken into residential units before it was torn down in the 1960s.
