Description

Photograph caption dated September 24, 1956 reads "Lear Aircraft Engineering Division, Santa Monica, has delivered to Rocketdyne Division of North America Aviation a substantial number of mobile pneumatic and electrical test stands (right) for checking out rocket engines without actually firing the engines. The complexity and high performance characteristics of the rocket engine test stands required Lear's design and construction of a good-sized auxiliary test stand (left) to check them out."
