Description
A woman in dress from January 1793. She wears a large, brown hat decorated with pink ribbon and a pink bow, and fastened underneath her chin with pink ribbon ties. Her hair is dressed in long ringlets. A small, white ruffle peeks out from under the hat, suggesting a mobcap. A large, white fichu billows from under her chin. She wears white gloves and holds a closed white fan in her right hand. A blue shawl with a red pattern and a white and red patterned band at the hem covers her upper body from her shoulders to the small of her back. Her skirt is lilac with two rows of narrow white ruffles at the hem and a small train. She wears red, pointed shoes.
