Documentation provided by the photographer suggests that this girl is a blind cancer survivor. She rides her Grieder Flyer tricycle in front of 235 San Antonio Road in Arcadia. The image was taken on April 19, 1955, and was ordered by Jan Maddox of the Pasadena unit of the American Cancer Society (180 South Euclid Avenue).
