Photo caption reads: "A lone, expectant figure dwarfed by the wide expanse of seats and canvas around him, the first arrival is shown. Many of the youngsters come hours early to be sure of seeing everything. Some carrying water for the elephants and do other odd jobs all morning to get the passes for the big show." Photo dated: March 27, 1937.
