Photograph caption dated December 8, 1954 reads "In this large, ultra-modern market, Valley shoppers will find the widest assortment of foods and fresh vegetables along with countless other items to make shopping a pleasure. This market is the 22nd in the growing chain of Von's Markets, containing over 26,500 feet of shopping space and fully air conditioned throughout. Fourteen checking stands are installed for fast and courteous service to customers. Parking will be no problem for shoppers here--ample space having been provided on a large paved area for more than 700 automobiles. Numerous shopper conveniences have been incorporated by Von's in this vast shopping center at Woodman avenue and Osborne street, Pacoima."
