Description
Photograph of a herd of cattle on a Montana prairie, ca.1890. The cows are at center and are standing in a large group. Their spots make it difficult to distinguish individual animals. There are two mounted cowboys visible on the edges of the herd, one in the foreground at right and the other in the background at left. There low, rolling hills in the distance. The ground is covered by grass. The words "The [?] Big Waltz" are written near the bottom of the image at left, and L.A. Huffman's name appears at right.
