Photograph dated May 14, 1938 reads "Dorothy Gish, former star of the silent screen, is shown when she arrived by plane here today, possibly to renew a film career. She arrived from New York where she and her equally famous sister, Lillian Gish, have been appearing in a stage production. It has been 19 years since she has acted before the cameras in Hollywood." Gish is seen exiting American Airlines airplane.
