Photograph caption dated January 11, 1956 reads, "Typical hillside view of brush and slope will become one of symmetrical concrete and steel as freeway overpass sweeps across Ventura Boulevard. Present work site is near Shoup Avenue about one mile west of Topanga Canyon."
