An idea of how many men have returned to work is given by this photo showing a sea of parked cars of the men at the strikebound North American Aviation plant. Soldiers are guarding the cars and the entrances to the parking lot. The United States Army took over the factory on orders of President Roosevelt, who said defense plane production must go on. Photo dated: June 10, 1941.
