ELCT, Karagwe Diocese, Tanzania. Nyakahanga Hospital. The Hospital was founded in 1912 by Germ ELCT, Karagwe Stift, Tanzania. Nyakahanga Hospital. Hospitalet blev startet af tyske missionærer i 1912 med et klinikarbejde, som gradvist udviklede sig – i 1953 til et hospital med 60 senge. I 1965 blev det med delvis støtte fra Danida udvidet til en kapacitet på 200 senge. Hospitalet drives af ELCT, og gennem årene har svenske, tyske og danske lutherske kirker støttet med personale og forskelligt udstyr. Fra 1972 begyndte det at fungere som distrikts-hospital, med officiel godkendelse fra 1992

ELCT, Karagwe Diocese, Tanzania. Nyakahanga Hospital. The Hospital was founded in 1912 by German missionaries as a clinic/dispensary work, which gradually developed. In 1953 into a 60-bed hospital, again extended to 200 beds in 1965, partly with funding by Danida. The hospital is run by ELCT, and Swedish, German and Danish Lutheran Churches have assisted with personnel, equipment and other improvements over the years. Nyakahanga started to serve as a district hospital in 1972, which from 1992 was confirmed by an official agreement.
