Photograph caption dated July 27, 1940 reads "At Pickfair America's sweetheart, Mary Pickford, little Alicia Adams and director John Beverly rehearse [sic] script of 'Taps,' which will be presented by the Hollywood Theatre of the Air in a coast-to-coast broadcast Sunday, July 28, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. to raise funds in aiding the American Red Cross. The broadcast will emanate from the Earl Carroll Theatre."
