Description
Photograph of the musical number "Moonlight polka" (Mondscheinpolka, or, Polka au clair de lune) from Der blaue Vogel (The Blue Bird, or, L'Oiseau bleu), a cabaret theater in Berlin. This piece was performed regularly at the theater and became a signature emblem of the cabaret, appearing on program covers, published sheet music, and advertisements. This photograph is from a 1923 performance.
