The trial mentioned in this caption refers to the case brought against Flynn by two under-age girls, Betty Hansen and Peggy Satterlee, who accused him of statutory rape in late 1942. After a two month trial in early 1943, Flynn was cleared of all charges. Photograph caption reads, "Flynn free an [sic] $1000 bail, is shown talking with Attorney Ford.
