Pictured are attorneys involved in the legal battle in which William S. Hart, Jr., is seeking to break his father's will. Hart, Jr. was left out as a beneficiary with the bulk of his father's estate willed instead to the County of Los Angeles. At left are Hart's three lawyers, Eugene Williams, Bion B. Vogel, and J. Ray Files. Next are Ernest R. Purdum and John B. Anson, representing the County of Los Angeles, named trustee in the will. Third from right and slightly to the rear is Sidney N. Bachtell, representing the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, also a recipient in the will. At right, are Joseph Spray and Malcolm Archbald, representing the will's executors.
