Detail of scene in red, white and black colors on the left side of viewer of a painted mural of a Buddha image. Figure at left with a long spear and figure at right with bow and arrow represent one of the attempts by the demon Mara and his retinue to prevent the Buddha from attaining Enlightenment. Nāga (snake) figures on both sides and a row of arrows at extreme left.
