Aleksandr Mikhailovich Liubimov, 1879-1955, painter and graphic artist. [Biography (English)] He studied in the school of the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts in St. Petersburg and from 1901-1909 in the Academy of Arts under Il'ia Repin from 1912-1919 he was director of the Khar'kov art school. In Soviet times he became professor in the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Architecture and Sculpture. [Chronology (English)] The monograms SJP-Monogram-Liubimov~03 and SJP-Monogram-Liubimov~04 are from "Leshii", no. 2, 1906. [Monogram description (English)] Александр Михайлович Любимов, 1879-1955. Живописец и график. [Biography (Cyrillic)] Монограмы SJP-Monogram-Liubimov~03 и SJP-Monogram-Liubimov~04 -- из журнала "Леший," но.2, 1906. [Monogram description (Cyrillic)] Учился в школе Общества поощрения жудожеств в С. Петербурге и в Академии жудожеств (1901-09) у И. Е. Репина.
