Description
Written on reverse: "First street looking north -- Garden City Bank Bldg on left - about 1904. No neg." "Osgood & Ball Opticians 156 South First Street, San Jose." Taken around the middle of First Street, between San Fernando and San Antonio Streets. Garden City Bank Building is under construction. Osgood & Bell are on the right side. A sign for "Jenkin__" is on the top of a building on the right [possibly Jenkines furnishing goods at 114 First Street]. Street trolley cars and tracks in street. Horse-drawn carriages parked on street. A sign advertising "Boots" is on top of a building on the left; sign for "Shoes" on top of building on right. Street lights hanging over street by wires.
