Description
This scene shows Lytton Square and the buildings which were torn down to make room for the Keystone Building, which was built in 1906. A portion of the park in front of the railroad station is seen at the right, where the bus depot was later located. A horse-drawn wagon can be seen in front of the restaurant just to the left of the center of the photograph. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph, written by F. L. Drexler, publisher of the Mill Valley Record from 1935 to 1942, reads: "Between Keystone Building and B of E (?) The Drexler lot action at Sutcliff Grocery where they were to tear down bldgs to make room for Keystone Bldg."
