This structure, built in 1925, replaced the original structure, which was destroyed by fire in 1924.
Photograph caption dated June 27, 1969 reads, "Crane below swings 2800-pound steel ball at Dome Theater. Workers will use 6000-pound ball to demolish lower portion of building."
