Description
Photograph shows the east elevation exterior view of the Mission San Juan Bautista. This view features (from left to right) the arcade, the tower, and the church.
La Misión del Glorios Precursor de Jesu Cristo, Nuestro Señor San Juan Bautista was founded June 24, 1797 and is the largest of the Spanish missions in California. The adobe buildings were built between 1797 and 1812. The wooden tower was added around 1874 and was rebuilt in 1926.
