Description
Photograph of masons on scaffolding laying brick in China, ca.1900. Two men are shown laying the brick at center on a tall wall, at least two stories up. In the right foreground, a small child appears to be using baskets attached to cord to draw up loads of bricks, which sit prepared on a length of board that runs the width of the image, stacked three high. A building's windows can be seen in the background.
