Photograph of an exterior view of the Captain Sprioilo Adobe in San Jose, 1937. A lightly-colored fence stand out front with an entry way reading "Laura Ville" which leads to the dark doors of the tall adobe. The adobe is lightly-colored with rectangular windows lined with dark borders. A short fence runs across the second floor while trees obscure the view of either side. Picture file card reads "One of three adobes left in San Jose. First Floor is adobe, upper floor is wood. The wood in building was brought around the Horn. Now occupied by Mrs. Theolinda Basuni. The words Laura Villa appears in the photo over a gate in front of the house. Captain Sprioilo Adobe, Santa Jose, one of three adobes left in San Jose. 1st story is adobe, upper is wood.
