Reports on the reinforcements constantly being sent by the Portuguese to Niassa and Cabo Delgado. FRELIMO guerrillas attacked and killed several Portuguese soldiers stationed in Chief Darumba with no casualties on the guerrilla side. Portuguese aircrafts intensively bombed the region of Montepuez, killing several people among the local population- mostly children and women. A FRELIMO military base in Huidumbe was localised by the enemy and heavily bombed, with 2 casualties.
