Description
Merrill Joan Gerber discusses her novel, “Anna In Chains.” She begins by explaining that her book is fiction, but is based on her mother’s adventures in life. She talks about her main character Anna, a widow who is recovering from an illness who copes by playing the piano. She describes the relationship between Anna and her young grandchildren, and how she saves the boys’ lives at the end of the book. Martinson asks Gerber to read a passage from the book about the younger lives of elderly people. She ends the interview by talking about her career as a college writing professor.
