During Irving Kristol’s lecture, he discusses: differential stock dividends, business as a decision making activity and politics as a negotiating activity, the strength of small businesses in local communities, the terrible state of business communications, and the intellectual and academic community as the most powerful community in society. During the question and answer session, Drucker addresses the following: the importance of institutionalizing interests so they are overt, the steel industry, capital formation and pension funds, and the corporation income tax. Kristol addresses the following during the question and answer session: double taxation on dividends and the reinvestment of tax shelter dividends.
