Photograph caption dated October 6, 1958 reads, "Beauty and business alike were represented when ground was broken Tuesday for the new A&P Supermarket in Victory Plaza. Left to right, among those participating in the ceremonies were: Donald H. Shandling, developer; W. E. Woodward, vice president of A&P; Cheryle McDonald, Miss Van Nuys; Terrie Selman, representative of Donald H. Shandling Associates; Robert J. Hale, Van Nuys Chamber of Commerce, and David Jacobson, architect."
