Photograph caption dated January 22, 1962 reads, "Cleveland and Polytechnic players scramble for the ball in Saturday's quarter final game in the Los Angeles city high chool [sic] basketball playoffs. Pictured are, left, No. 33, Gary McManus, Cleveland forward; No. 42, Barry Silver, Poly guard; No. 15, Tom Roberts, Cleveland center, and No. 30, Curt Gammell. Poly won and meets Fremont tonight in the semifinals at Los Angeles State College."
