Photograph caption dated January 11, 1965 reads, "Sen Thomas H. Kuchel of California interrupts busy schedule in the nation's capital to contribute to March of Dimes . Mickey Heinicke, 4, 1965 National March of Dimes Poster Child, is on a nationwide tour on behalf of the more than 250,000 children born with serious birth defects. March of Dimes January campaign for funds to fight birth defects is underway."
