Photograph caption dated June 16, 1956 reads "Jack Coleman, third grade teacher at Burbank Boulevard School in North Hollywood, stands out of way of 'thundering herd' of youngsters exploding from school as session ends for summer. More than 100,000 Valley youngsters stored away books and pencils and headed for summer fun and jobs."
